Meanwhile night time in Bangkok

My days at the gym did not prevent me from enjoying more Bangkok nightlife and in the days I had remaining Nima and I escaped our study and deadlines momentarily to celebrate life in the city. One evening we went for cocktails at The Hotel Muse, Langsuan Road Muse is a concept hotel that goes for the speak easy style and has a sort of thirties Cab Calloway style to it, that in its location of Bangkok City translates to something swanky and a bit different for the night. The roof top bar was fabulous, Alka, Nima and I had a perfectly delightful girls night out before heading back to Sesame Street for more stories. We ate Mexican food, went to a birthday party, I met lots of strangers and made tons of small talk..and discovered this phenomena that the girls told me is called "I am just using you for your brain" or actually "A mind fuck". So you are at an event, well dressed, elegant, obviously European, and you know, quite the minx of adventure and intelligence, and an attractive man spots you from across the room. And attractive means attractive. They generally have an interesting introduction, they are not in futures or finance, well not the ones that get to talk to me for more than two minutes, and they have cool action adventure pasts..you know I have my type..anyway there you are getting along like a house on fire, and to yourself you are thinking this man is stimulating, intelligent and attractive. You may have no intention of hooking up with them at all but the conversation is fast, flirty and fun..and then they tell you about their wife...ah ha...their non-English speaking wife...their beautiful, young, non-English speaking wife, and yes you have just been mind fucked... Lacking the stimulation of a fast talking English speaking woman in their homes, and possibly grateful for it most of the time, these men do need to once in a while get out and hunt in bars and hotels for flirtatious conversations that allow them to play with fire through language use. They may have no intention of sleeping with you, or maybe just once or twice, but certainly they are not going to be engaging you in a meaningful relationship of equal footing..no way..you can be toyed with, your mind can be probed and the sharing of humor is exquisite but you will not be looking at anything more than a 'harmless' 'casual' friendship. Which is something not to be readily dismissed in the big city, but the stakes are high, if you get seen to be an easy easy mind fuck your reputation can suffer..people will talk! Promiscuity comes in many forms so be flattered, be incisive, sharp and intelligent but do not under any circumstances reveal your heart.
