Lisbon - Sunday St Anthonys Day

This is the pretty city of Lisbon on a Sunday afternoon, the first picture is of the place you MUST stop at , it sells a cherry liquor, you can order it with or without the cherries, I recommend the cherries as they are packed full of yummy alcohol and they really prepare you for a wander around the delights of this gothic city. There are elevated roads, castles and cobblestones and a expansive view of the Atlantic coast.

After I left LA I flew to Washington and met up with my friend Bekah and together we flew to Orlando, Florida where I spent a great night with her mum and her mum's husband George. We went to the beach, Bekah ran and I sat on the beach with George who was very interesting, and gave me some ideas about direction. Being in the midst of such a dynamic interesting family was fantastic after my LA Alone Time. This morning I was able to connect to Sykpe and call Severen, it looked like a cold Melbourne morning. The government has given her a scholarship for books and she is happy at the prospect of the new semester and enjoying having her sister in town. It was great to have a chat...seeing her on the screen was a lovely start to the day..Yeah Zaba! And this one is Bella on the beach..I am so proud of my girls! Well done on your IB results Bella, I am very happy for you that all your work paid off, all that study and stress and of course your efforts at maintaining a balanced life style throughout, well done indeed!

Tripping Out in Paris and London June/July 2014

I headed out at the end of June to visit family and friends in Europe for a ridiculously short trip of ten days - it involved a stop over in Bangkok on the way to catch up with friends, two days in Paris, four in my 'home' town of Caversham and three in London...and then back to Bangkok. I flew Gulf Air and while not a fancy as Emirates it got me there, and back to Bangkok without problems. My only advice would be not to book the gluten free meals, they are far too weird.
